MASTER’S THESIS PROJECT

PROJECT: COMMUNITY. LIVE. WORK. LIFE.

Mixed-use and live/work structure consisting of community office and conference spaces, community restaurant and night club, community retail and cafe space, local artist workshop and gallery and nineteen unique living units.

Sustainable elements include solar shading, geothermal and radiant heating/cooling systems, natural ventilation; also includes the economic and social values of a high-density live/work space (with commercial space catering to a “local-first” clientele).

Nominated by a nationally invited jury for best graduate project of the year (University of Utah, 2009).
